WORKOUT OF THE DAY


Our daily Strength and Conditioning workout, or WOD, as you'll start to call it, is an invigorating combination of innovative and engaging movements. These dynamic classes are centered around the workout of the day, carefully curated to challenge your strength, stamina, and ultimately enhance your overall fitness journey. At Northern Warrior, we prioritize technique mastery above everything else, which is why our WODs are thoughtfully scaled and modified to cater to each member's unique fitness level or desired goal. This personalized approach ensures that every participant can push themselves to the highest intensity possible, all while maintaining impeccable form. However, we cannot be held responsible if our members can't resist a triumphant high five at the end of a challenging class!

ENGINE


This class is not for the faint-hearted. It is designed for those who really struggle to increase their capacity. There is a lot of science behind it but that does not mean it is easy. Build the ‘Engine’ You Need to Crush Longer Workouts

We see it time and time again — Athletes go to their one-hour class, where they do a strength portion and a sub-10-minute workout. Therefore a solid aerobic base and the ability to push in short high-intensity workouts are crucial to improving your training – especially in the functional fitness realm.

WEIGHTLIFTING


The Northern Warrior Olympic lifting class is the perfect opportunity for athletes to receive focused attention and specialised training that aims to refine their technique in the domain of Olympic lifts. Our classes are structured in a way that incorporates various effective drills meticulously designed to enhance the execution of these lifts, all while concurrently emphasising the development of strength and power.

GYMNASTICS


Gymnastics Skills Don’t Just Appear — They Take Work

Whether you’re working on getting your first muscle up or 20 in a row – this class will take your training to the next level. Our popular Gymnastics class is made for athletes of all levels who want to spend focused time each week dialling in their gymnastics. When you incorporate Gymnastics into your weekly training, your overall training will improve quickly — we’ve seen it time and time again! These classes run in 6- 8 week blocks giving you a chance to work on progressional skills and drills to accomplish that specific gymnastic movement. Not only will you have the opportunity to work on and refine your current skills, but our experienced coaches will also provide guidance and feedback to help you break through plateaus and push your limits. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your gymnastics to the next level, our Gymnastics class is the perfect choice to enhance your training and achieve your goals. HYROX


As a supplement to our Strength and Conditioning timetable, we also offer Hyrox classes. You can read more about it here. Hyrox combines running and endurance with some specific strength movements, such as sled pushes and farmers carries. Our Hyrox classes are completely interchangeable with our WOD classes and the skills are totally transferrable. Many of our members enjoy competing in Hyrox competitions, and our classes help to prepare you if this is something you’re interested in. There is a Hyrox-focused class throughout the week, so come and give it a go.

OPEN GYM


Open gym sessions at Northern Warrior provide a conducive and relaxed environment, allowing members to take full responsibility for their own training. It grants the freedom to curate your workout exactly as you desire, be it spending an hour on the echo bike (even though the reasons behind such a choice may elude us) or utilising the extra time to refine your technique, ultimately enhancing your performance in the exhilarating WOD classes. While these sessions are not coached per se, rest assured that there is always a qualified trainer readily available to offer valuable advice and ensure everyone's safety remains a top priority. NORTHERN WARRIOR KIDS/TEENS


NW Kids is a fun yet targeted method for teaching Strength & Conditioning to children ages 3-18. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and Intensity, our Kids’ classes emphasises good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. The less formal explanation is that kids and teens can learn functional movements that will help them stay fit, improve in other sports and learn the fundamentals of stamina, strength and having a laugh. We offer kids classes for ages 3-10. Our Teens classes is a more focussed class where teenagers (aged 10-18) start to build on their fitness and learn correct form.
